As a Finance Manager, you will partner with manufacturing leadership to drive cost control, financial planning, and operational performance across the plant. The role oversees budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing, and detailed variance analysis aligned with production, yield, and capacity targets. It provides actionable financial insights on cost per unit, labour efficiency, overhead absorption, and capital investments. This position plays a critical role in supporting productivity improvements, cost optimisation, and sustainable plant growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, consolidation, and governance of annual operating plans, rolling forecasts, and multi-year financial budgets aligned with plant and corporate objectives.
- Own end-to-end cost planning and control processes, ensuring plant KPIs related to operating expenditure (OPEX), capital expenditure (CAPEX), and headcount (HC) targets are achieved with strong financial discipline.
- Partner with business and operational leaders to review, challenge, and finalise departmental budgets, incorporating historical performance, cost drivers, productivity targets, and forward-looking assumptions.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve budgeting and financial planning processes to enhance transparency, accountability, and decision-making quality across divisions.
- Perform advanced financial analysis, including forecasting, variance analysis, trend evaluation, and internal gap assessments to identify risks and opportunities.
- Lead month-end closing activities for assigned scope, ensuring accurate cost allocation, compliance with company accounting policies, and timely financial reporting.
- Drive robust business case development by conducting financial evaluations, sensitivity analysis, and ROI assessments; provide data-driven recommendations to management to support productivity improvements and sustainable growth.
- Develop financial models and scenario simulations to support strategic initiatives, capital investments, cost optimisation programs, and long-term capacity planning.
- Serve as a finance business partner to operations and functional leaders, providing proactive insights to influence performance and strategic outcomes.
- Mentor and guide junior finance team members, fostering capability development and promoting best practices in financial planning and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
- Over 10 years of experience in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) and Costing.
- Proven experience in multinational manufacturing businesses, including planning, costing, financial analysis, and managerial accounting.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing processes and financial systems is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English with strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
